The 26 foot tall statue of an elephant doing a trunkstand, “Gran Elfandret” by Spanish artist Miquel Barceló, or “trunkstand elephant” as it is colloquially, and Foursquaredly known, has run its course at its temporary home on one of those little land islands at Union Square.
I’m legitimately sad that it’s gone. Peace out, buddy. May you freak out a bunch of other people, somewhere else.

Plugging the store for the different time zones. I have some new prints for sale. Check it outttt!

Whoops, I’m in love.

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pictures but who cares. This is what I picked up at the Brooklyn Comics and Graphics festival tonight. I had such a nice time, it’s too bad I was on a limited budget though, because I wanted to buy EVERYTHING. Also, the rest of Williamsburg must have been looking pretty homely, because all of the cuties were there. Oh, Those girls. I forget what being surrounded by multiple attractive people is like, being in a community college.

I had a really nice time there, minus the funky smell. And it probably would have been more fun if any of my dumb lame friends could have accompanied me. But as I already mentioned: they are all dumb and lame.

Anyway then I saw “Hugo” and that kind of changed my life. Jeez. What a gorgeous, inspiring thing that was. Two separate women in my row were crying towards the end of it. I mean, ugly, whimpering crying.

T’was a good day!

[Late] congratugaytions are in order!

I am really gay to be a New Yorker right now. Not to be confused with my sexual orientation: which is pie-curious… not that there’s anything wrong with that. I know a lot of gay people. I mean, a lot. And way more if you count the ones that haven’t admitted it yet. To gauge how many gay people I know: I went to an art High School. So It’s both very pleasing, and very upsetting to know that only now they can legally get married.

But even though it didn’t happen a long time ago like it should have, knowing that it happened and being alive (albeit asleep) when the news came out (of the closet) is very exciting. Last I had heard, the bill had gotten to the (dance) floor of the senate. I know a lot of men and women have (les)bien waiting for this for a very long time.

I mean, I’m already very proud to be from here. I don’t know why, I didn’t choose to be, it’s not actually an accomplishment, being born. But now it kind of makes sense for me to like it here. Knowing that some of my friends whou couldn’t, can now marry whoever they love AND file their income taxes jointly. Again, I’m just full of pride. I guess a lot of other people are too, because now I’m hearing there will be a parade just full of very proud people this sunday. Maybe I should I go.

So hear-hear, queers! Weddings in this state just way more fabulous.

There’s still tickets to see Local Natives tomorrow at Webster hall. Tumblr, Please come with me. I don’t want to go to a concert alone.

That’s just plain clever.
